Introduction.

At the beginning of this term, my knowledge of production roles/performance technology was extremely limited. With my only primary point of reference being an emerging interest in camera work stemming from our storytelling-on-film project, which introduced me to the basics of visual framing and camera use itself.

Throughout this project ive been able to get a better idea of production roles including ADs, Sound operators and creative technologist, getting an awareness and trying snippets of what happens in both post and pre production aswell as on set and how this all comes together.

This process has shifted my engagement with media as I feel more encouraged to view digital and live elements, understanding how each tiny detail works towards pushing the narrative forward and has a specific impact.

This portfolio will document my development of this progression from initial uncertainty toward a more critically informed perspective on production and media practice..

In my career I am interested in exploring writing and production and so want to continue learning more about how a set works and the way in which the evolution of technology such as LED volumes would allow me to push forward my own innovative work.
